Escape the winter chill and warm up inside The Commons Collective. Under one roof, you’ll find heaps of eclectic spaces that will light up the colder months with the glitz of cabaret, the sparkle of Christmas and much, much more. Here’s what’s happening at The Commons Collective this winter.
1. Le Cabaret de Commons
Every Thursday night this winter, Ormond Hall will light up with a cosmopolitan cabaret show. The 90-minute program will feature heaps of eccentric performers, including Mike Snell, Emily Lodge and Drag Queen, Paris of Toorak. The performance will run from 8:30pm to 10pm, with a DJ playing in Bar Moubray from 10pm until late.
2. Christmas in July
Over the whole month of July, The Commons Collective is bringing the magic of Christmas to Melbourne. There will be a Christmas-themed menu with Christmas crackers, seasonal cocktails, and a red sleigh for pictures.
3. Paint & Sip
The Conservatory is throwing their first every Paint & Sip session this winter. Round up your friends, receive a cocktail on arrival, and create something beautiful to take home.
This session will run on Friday July 15, from 7 to 9pm. This experience is $65 per person.
4. Bottomless Brunch
Head into the Conservatory and sip on bottomless bubbles, beers and a cocktail special. While you drink, enjoy a set menu of pub favourites, with one main, unlimited chips, and unlimited drinks for two hours.
Bottomless Brunch will run from 12pm to 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with a 5 to 7pm Sunset Sessions for groups of over 20.
5. Bar Moubray Winter Menu
Stay cosy inside this bar, which is set to reflect the 1920s Prohibition era, and warm up with their winter spread. Satisfy your cravings with a weekly Sunday roast special of $35, including a glass of house wine or beer. Or, try other winter warmers like pumpkin tortellini, glazed Angus brisket and banoffee pie.
6. Happy Hour
Head over to Bar Moubray or the Beer Garden from 4 to 6pm on Thursdays and Fridays for Happy Hour. House beer and wine will set you back $6, and there’s tasty cocktails to try for $12.
