The NBA Exhibition at The District Docklands in Melbourne, has recently become a hotspot for basketball enthusiasts. With over 20 themed sections, and a new outdoor basketball court, this exhibition is not to be missed! Visitors can look forward to a unique journey through the rich history of the NBA, combining interactive elements, cutting-edge technology, and an impressive display of rare memorabilia. We decided to take a visit ourselves and step into this world of basketball.
A major highlight of the exhibition is being able to see over 50 items of exclusive memorabilia. These include items like autographed photos and shoes, and even the uniforms that past players wore during games. It was also really great to see how local heroes are celebrated in the display about Australians in the W/NBA which was really informative and will definitely interest many Aussie fans.
There are also a variety of interactive sections throughout the experience, like the Measure Up section where you can see how you compare to the handprint, footprint and height of famous players, spoiler alert – you’re probably smaller than you think. For those who love arcade games, you’ll definitely enjoy the Hoop Arcade and it might even bring out your competitive side.
All in all this experience is a fun and informative way to learn more about basketball and celebrate its long history, and the rave reviews seem to agree!
