The Pet Show
Celebrate and experience all things pets at The Pet Show. If you’re looking for a fur-baby, an existing pet parent, or just an animal lover in general, you’ll have plenty of fun at Melbourne Showgrounds. Find plenty of experts and exhibitors, sharing their knowledge of dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles and small animals.
Pop by the Scales and Tails Touch Zone and meet lizards, insects, snakes, turtles and frogs. For more unconventional pets, learn all about keeping an ant farm.
If you love dogs, check out the indoor and outdoor arenas to see exciting demonstrations and competitions. On Saturday, the Vic Weiners Flyball Racing Club competition will feature agile dogs racing against the clock. Then, on Sunday, see the Canine Disc Australia Competition and watch dogs catch flying discs.
The Wonderdogs, a team of magnificent border collies, will also be at The Pet Show. They will have demonstrations twice daily, and host a Masterclass in the Indoor Arena.
There’s also an adorable Grooming Competition, where you can find out what’s best for your breed and see different types of grooming.
If you’re a fan of felines, check out the Cat Competition. Watch judges evaluate cats and kittens based on breed standards, condition and beauty, and give out awards to the cat that best represents the breed.
At the show, you’ll find a huge variety of exhibitors showcasing their products and offering event-only deals. If you get hungry, grab a bite to eat from one of the many food trucks.
