You’ve been to the Cat Lovers Show. You’ve had fun at the Dog Lovers Show. Now, you can check out a show for all kinds of pets, including the slimy and the scaly, at The Pet Show. After a sold-out event last year, Australia’s first national Pet Show is returning to Melbourne. Listen to experts, interact with pets, find pawfect products and more at Melbourne Showgrounds on Saturday April 13 and Sunday April 14.
The Pet Show
Celebrate and experience all things pets at The Pet Show. If you’re looking for a fur-baby, an existing pet parent, or just an animal lover in general, you’ll have plenty of fun at Melbourne Showgrounds. There’s over 250 experts and exhibitors, sharing their knowledge of dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles and small animals.
The Pet Show is split into different towns based on different types of pets. Chat with breeders, meet with rescue groups, learn about grooming and more. In Dog Town, you’ll meet Bluey and Bingo in a live interactive experience, and see incredible dog demonstrations in the Dog Arena. For cat lovers, check out The Pet Show Cat Competition and celebrate your feline friends. Meanwhile, in Small Town, you’ll enjoy a hands-on experience and meet insects, lizards, snakes, ants, turtles and frogs.
The Pet Show will feature a range of experts, including Melbourne locals, Dr Dennis Wormald, Kerryn Martin and Mel Vincent. See vet and TV host, Dr Lisa Chimes, pet expert and director of Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, Ben Dessen, Dr Katrina Warren and dog trainer Kelly Gill with the Wonderdogs.
At the show, you’ll find a huge variety of exhibitors showcasing their products and offering event-only deals. Kids will have plenty to see and do, with face painting, craft activities and an agility play area.
After watching the stage shows, interacting with exhibitors and taking photos, grab a bite to eat at one of the many food trucks.
Tickets are on sale now, and part of the proceeds will go towards RSPCA Victoria.
