Kid-friendly activities at The Rink
RISING’s School Holiday Program at The Rink will feature a range of exciting kid-friendly activities. Visitors can enjoy ice skating demonstrations by professional coaches and participate in free skating lessons during selected sessions. These will definitely allow you to skate under the stars with a little more confidence!
For creative minds, Jenna Lee, the artist behind RISING’s 2023 moon design, will guide participants in creating bubbly lunar-scapes using ink, straw, and paper. Those interested can join this artistic experience and create their own masterpieces.
Furthermore, attendees can engage with giant mirror installations created by the Playable Streets team. These installations provide spaces for drawing, writing, and self-reflection, allowing individuals to express themselves and interact with the artworks.
The Rink Food Hall
All these activities might leave you peckish, but luckily the Rink Food Hall will serve a variety of tasty treats. From hot dogs and loaded fries to doughnuts and bubble tea, there will be something for everyone. Drinks include a range of non-alcoholic options such as hot chocolates, teas and soft drinks. While for the moms and dads in the crowd The Rink offers a fully-stocked bar including Archie Rose cocktails and mulled wine, as well as a rotation of wines on tap curated by Glou Sustainable Wine Bar.
The Rink will be open on weekdays from 11am to 8pm and on weekends from 11am until 9pm and you will be able to skate for up to 90 minutes during your chosen time slot. Make sure to book your session in advance to avoid disappointment.
