The Stolen Gem, a rooftop bar in the heart of Melbourne, has come up with the perfect way to keep you nice and toasty this winter. Simply order one of their Winter Warmer cocktails, and receive your own limited-edition teal robe to keep you cosy while you drink. This fun incentive will start on Saturday July 23, and last until the end of August.
The Stolen Gem
This rooftop bar was once the empty space of an office building on Bourke Street. Now, it is a bustling cocktail bar and terrace that looks out over Bourke Street Mall.
Choose between a Rum Toddy or a Sub Zero cocktail. The Sub Zero drink perfectly matches the teal hue of the robe, and draws on the iciness of a Melbourne Winter. This sweet drink features Bombay Sunset Gin, Aubrey Mango Liqueur, Blue Curacao, Lime and Vanilla Bean Syrup.
Meanwhile, the Rum Toddy features the warmth of Appleton Estate’s 8 Year Old Reserve, paired with Le Birlou Chestnut Apple Liqueur, Lemon and Agave Nectar. This is poured into a Destalya, a traditional Turkish coffee pot, and flambéed with a blowtorch.
Both cocktails cost $30, and robes are limited to one per person. Each robe features an embroidered logo of The Stolen Gem, and matches the velvet texture and hue of the menu.
While you sip on your cocktail, stay fed with one of their delicious share plates, from fried chicken ribs to sous vide pork belly.
The Stolen Gem is open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 4pm till late.
