The utterly romantic musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, is now showing at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne. And to help you get in the mood, the neighbouring Westin is serving up a wonderful Cinderella high tea experience. Nibble your way through three tiers of specially crafted treats in The Enchanted High Tea at The Westin Melbourne. This experience is available seven days a week, between 11am and 4pm.
The Enchanted High Tea at The Westin Melbourne
Pop into the Lobby Lounge at The Westin on Collins Street, and enjoy high tea before or after you see the Cinderella musical.
There will be some savoury delights, such as smoked salmon and fennel triangles, spinach and roasted pumpkin quiche with quark crumble and triple cream brie and ham finger sandwich with pear and fig chutney. There’s plenty of sweet things to try too, including the ‘Having a Ball’ blueberry and lemon cupcake, the ‘Rags to Riches’ chocolate brownie with candied pumpkin cake pop and the ‘If the Shoe Fits’ pistachio and mandarin pillow. Then, nibble on two types of scones – a ripple strawberry scone and a vanilla scone served with conserve and cream.
There’s four beverage packages to choose from. Starting at $68 per person, this includes unlimited coffee, Jing Herbal infusions and hot chocolate. The highest package costs $98 per person, and includes a glass of Moët & Chandon Champagne.
Meanwhile, if you’d like to make your experience a little more enchanting, try one of their Magical Cocktails. Also available in the Lobby Lounge, these drinks were created by the Westin’s in-house mixologists. See if the ‘Glass Slipper’ fits your palate, with its blend of Malibu, blue curacao, vodka, coconut syrup and cream. Or, have fun with the ‘Fairy Godmother’, a mix of gin, raspberry balsamic, rose syrup and egg.
Make a staycation out of it, and opt for the Dream Away at Westin package. This includes a night for two at the hotel, two A-reserve Cinderella tickets, a Cinderella program to take home and valet parking.
Bookings are essential for the Cinderella high tea and the staycation.
