After taking out the top spot in 2022, The Woods Ocean Grove have once again been declared the best Self-Contained Accommodation in the Australian Tourism Awards. Over 180 tourism operators from around the country gathered for the award ceremony in Darwin, competing across 26 categories. And this peaceful retreat in the Bellarine Peninsula took home the gold for Self-Contained Accommodation, coming ahead of Tree Chalets in Western Australia and The Granary Richmond Hill in Tasmania.
The Woods Ocean Grove
The Woods Ocean Grove offers two stylish cabins, nestled underneath 100-year-old gum trees. One cabin is suitable for couples, and the other fits up to four guests. Located just 90 minutes from Melbourne, this retreat is set on 1.6 acres of bushland, offering a tranquil and comfortable getaway.
After a day of exploring the Bellarine Peninsula, kick back and relax in one of these cosy cabins. The cabins are 20 metres apart, and they both have private outdoor decks. Each space also has a kitchenette, ensuite bathroom and sitting area. For a complete immersion in nature, soak in the private outdoor bath and shower.
Next to the bush cabins, there’s also a fun communal space, complete with a wood-fired pizza oven, BBQ, fridge, sink, ironing board and iron. Warm up by the fire pit and watch the stars dance through the skies, and pass the time with a bit of yoga, tennis or golf.
For an extra bit of indulgence, pamper yourself and add a breakfast hamper or grazing platter to your stay.
This charming getaway is just a 5-10 minute drive away from Ocean Grove, so you’ll have plenty of cafes, wineries and beaches on your doorstop.
