After a two year hiatus, the Twilight Beach Polo tournament is coming back to St Kilda. Six of the country’s top polo teams will play for three matches under the iconic palms near West Beach. There will be plenty of food and drink on offer, as well as live entertainment. Join 3000 spectators and watch the games on Saturday February 5.
Twilight Beach Polo
Enjoy the last month of summer by hitting the sand and watching a game of beach polo.
Each team will have three players, and will play for four periods (chukkas) of seven minutes.
“It’s an exciting spectacle as players swap horses at the end of each chukka, so a player ends up riding four different horses in one match,” said Tournament Director Brad Taylor. “There could be up to 72 horses taking part, and around 50 per cent will be retired thoroughbred racehorses.”
General admission tickets will set you back $79 and give you access to a wide range of delicious food and premium beverages from cash bars and food stands.
Upgrading your ticket will give you access to gourmet canapes and live DJs and entertainment.
