Tickets are on sale for the newly opened Unko Museum: The Kawaii Poop Experience at 360 Bourke St Melbourne. The museum is dedicated entirely to showcasing and celebrating poop or, as it is called in Japan, unko! Open until the end of March 2024, discover a world where poop is cute and colourful, as you enjoy this experience inspired by the Japanese kawaii aesthetic.
Following its incredible success throughout Japan, Unko Museum: The Kawaii Poop Experience is making its way to Australia. The experience provides an amusing glimpse into Japanese pop culture, and invites visitors to immerse themselves in a world where the unconventional becomes an art form.
From the very first moment you step into this whimsical space, you will be confronted with the weird and wonderful world of poop. Retrieve your very own poop mascot from one of the colourful toilets at the entrance, and take it with you as you journey through this playful celebration of the unexpected.
Divided into various zones and sections, Unko Museum offers a range of interactive activities. From games to video projections and photo opportunities, there will be more than enough to keep you entertained. The experience aims to break down cultural taboos surrounding poop and allows visitors to embrace this often unspoken topic. You are encouraged to take pictures with flying turds, marvel at a lightwall of “poop” in different languages, and even shop in an entirely “unko” themed supermarket.
Perfect for the whole family, this fun and colourful experience will be a memorable day out! Tickets start at $22 for children and $31 for adults with various ticket options available so that you can enjoy this experience as a group or solo. Enjoy a day of letting loose and getting silly at the Unko Museum.
