Victoria’s live music scene revs up for autumn as ALWAYS LIVE presents Victorian Vibes, a statewide sprint of surprise pop-up performances landing in regional towns from mid-April.
The series explodes into action in Ballarat on Saturday, 18th April 2026, then races through Gippsland, the Goldfields, the Bellarine, the Murray and the Great Ocean Road—dropping groovy sets in unexpected spots every second weekend until late June.
From Laneways To Regional Heartlands
Hot on the heels of last summer’s Melbourne Vibes—where Jimmy Barnes, The Teskey Brothers, Guy Sebastian, Mallrat and Adalita turned city laneways into impromptu party zones—this road trip version channels that raw, unscripted tunes into regional heartlands.
Just envision hip-hop titan Briggs strutting down a narrow alley like he did before, or a soulful set echoing off a riverside brewery.
Additionally, “Victorian Vibes brings free live music to communities right across our state—making sure more Victorians can enjoy great live music, closer to home,” said Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos.
“It supports local businesses, creates jobs and gives people more reasons to visit regional Victoria.”

Meanwhile, ALWAYS LIVE CEO Psyche Payne emphasized the series’ connective spark.
