With plenty of laneways and exciting installations, Melbourne is known for its dynamic street art. And soon, an industrial section of Mordialloc will transform into Melbourne’s first official street art precinct. Find plenty of vibrant mural works in the laneways of this south-eastern suburb at Wall to Wall festival. Back for the first time since the pandemic, Australia’s original street art festival will feature seven Australian and three international artists. Check it out from April 26 to 28.

Lamana Road and the surrounding laneways will be transformed into the Mordi Village Arts and Cultural Precinct. The project is curated by Shaun Hossack from street art collective Juddy Roller (Silo Art Trail), in collaboration with Kingston Arts and Mordi Village Trader. Look forward to large-scale works from Smug, Adnate, Celeste Mountjoy, George Rose, French artist Zoer and more.
“Melbourne is known as a mecca for street art but still lacks well-curated areas where major artworks can be viewed one after another, like an outdoor gallery,” said Hossack. “The scale of Wall to Wall is unprecedented in Melbourne’s beachside suburbs and will help cement Mordi Village Arts and Cultural Precinct as a beacon of creativity and engagement.”
Embark on a self-guided art trail, then check out some local makers and producers in the area.
To celebrate, there will be a block party on Saturday April 27. Presented by Wall to Wall and culinary precinct, Urban Ground, the streets of Mordialloc will be buzzing with DJs, food trucks, market stalls, work shops, tastings and more.
The festival is free to attend.
