The Wine and Cheese Fest Lineup
Confirmed for the 2022 February edition of the Wine and Cheese Fest are the following local and artisanal makers of some of our best-tasting, mouth-watering and thirst-quenching produce, who will be turning The Timber Yard into a veritable delicatessen.
BoatShed Cheese will be in the building with its handmade artisan French-style soft cheeses from out Dromana way while the Salami Shack will be trucking in its selection of salami and mettwurst that come from a heap of small family businesses located in and around the Barossa Valley.
That’s Amore Cheese will also be onsite with its incredible array of award-winning cheese that are 100% natural, vegetarian, and free from preservatives and artificial colours. That’s Amore will also be present in the form of Cannoleria, serving up crunchy golden pastry goodness stuffed with delicious ricotta. But when it comes to pastry, you can’t go past Posh Brioche without taking a bite.
Wine will not be in short supply thanks to the likes of John Gehrig Wines, Mount Avova Winery, Newbridge Wines and Rob Dolan Wines already on the cards. The Prosecco Van will also be rolling on through while cider will be provided by Eddies Cider and Cheeky Rascal Cider.
Other producers include Dal Zotto Wines, The Cheese Rebels, Springmount Fine Foods, Hart’s Farm, Strathbogie Flavours, Wine Animal, Schulz Organic Dairy, Long Paddock Cheese, Sevenhill Cellars, Silver Tongue Foods and El Cielo to name just a few more.
The Wine and Cheese Fest Program
The Wine and Cheese Fest will be loaded up with masterclasses from experienced cheesemongers, artisans sommeliers and fabulous winemakers. For example, Dal Zotto Wines will be all about the Prosecco, while Strathbogie Flavours is going deep into olive oil and Cheeky Rascal Cider is delving into ciders so you can make your own.
If you want to make your own mozzarella, then That’s Amore Cheese is who you want to see and if you’re all about food and wine together, then Master of Wine Meg Brodtmann is hosting a food and wine pairing masterclass.
Music comes to The Wine and Cheese Fest thanks to Beija-Flor guitar duo, mixing up their own songs with Bossa Nova, Choro, Samba, Jazz, contemporary and Soul numbers. On the decks will see resident DJ at Cherry Bar and Corner Hotel, DJ Boffatron, while your knowledge is going to be tested by Stilton and Shraz’s Quiz on Wheels.
And it wouldn’t be the Wine and Cheese Fest without the Grape Stomp Comp. Everybody who participates wins a prize—obviously wine or cheesy. It takes place between 3-4pm.
