Get lost in the heat with this red-hot cocktail.
Did you know that there’s a day dedicated to celebrating vodka? That’s right, there is a National Vodka Day and it’s coming up on Monday October 4. To celebrate, Zsa’s Bar Bistro & Deli in Northcote has teamed up with TRUFF Hot Sauce to create a spicy Bloody Mary. This concoction, the Mega Mary, is a one litre giant filled with hot sauce and sprinkled with fennel salt. Pair it with oysters and indulge yourself all week long.
Zsa’s Mega Mary
Head to the heart of Northcote to find this limited-edition drink. Zsa’s have elevated their traditional Bloody Mary recipe with TRUFF’s hot sauce to create this fiery concoction.
“Zsa’s is open for martinis and oysters from as early as 10am daily, but we soon realised that a kick-ass Bloody Mary was an essential addition to this morning start repertoire,” said Zowie Minchin, Managing Director of Zsa’s.
After experimenting in the kitchen, the team landed on TRUFF’s hot sauce as the perfect compliment to the mix. For the uninitiated, TRUFF’s hot sauce is a cult-favourite made from red chilli peppers, real black truffle and organic agave nectar.
The Mega Mary contains five standard serves of alcohol, and a one litre bottle costs $60. If you add a dozen freshly shucked Sydney Rock oysters, the total becomes $96.
If a litre is too much to handle, you can also order a single shot of the Mega Mary for $5.
This limited-edition cocktail is available from now until Monday October 4. Call Zsa’s or place an order online for pick-up, or swing by their takeaway window to place your order.
Find Zsa’s Bar Bistro & Deli at 202 High St, Northcote VIC 3070.
