It’s time to load up on the sprinkles ’cause The Chocolateries’ Ice Cream Festival is returning from February 11 to February 22—back with more flavours and fun.
Held across Yarra Valley, Great Ocean Road and the Mornington Peninsula, this gelato-fuelled celebration is an annual pilgrimage for those who take their desserts very seriously. Over 12 glorious days, you can lick, slurp and scoop your way through 30 limited-edition flavours—all handcrafted by The Chocolateries’ in house experts.
At The Chocolateries’ Ice Cream Festival, you can expect flavours likes Coconut Limoncello Margarita, Pistachio Tiramisu, Matcha Blueberry, Cinnamon Scroll and the daring Caramelised Fig Blue Cheese Mascarpone (which should not work but absolutely does). And yes, the old-school choc tops are making a much-anticipated comeback in mint choc chip, pistachio and strawberry (because nostalgia always tastes better when dripped in chocolate).
There’s something here for everyone—from vegan and gluten friendly sorbets to no-added-sugar scoops and kiddie creations that guarantee sticky smiles all the way home.
What’s New For 2026

If you like to play dessert scientist, don’t miss the brand-new DIY Scoop Lab. It’s an ice cream playground where you can pile on scoops of velvety vanilla into a waffle cup, then go wild with their gourmet toppings—with edible confetti, house-made crumbles, sauces and tons more!
Over at the Yarra Valley and Great Ocean Road locations, festival goers can also dig into an exclusive dessert menu crafted especially for the event. And if your love for ice cream borders on obsession (no judgements here), book a seat at the Ice Cream Festival Tasting Sessions for a 45-minute flavour experience hosted by The Chocolateries’ own ice cream geniuses (28pp). You’ll get behind-the-scenes stories, guided tastings with one-off flavours and even learn to whip up your own chocolate sauce from scratch.
Just don’t take too long to book—these sessions melt away faster than, well, ice cream in February.
The Scoop on Games & Prizes

Trust your tongue when it comes to tasting profiles? Prove it in the “Guess the Flavour” challenge—sample a mystery scoop, jot down your guess and you could win a monthly tub of ice cream for the remainder of the year! Yes, that’s a freezer full of frozen treats until next summer.
“Our team of Chocolatiers and Pastry Chefs have had a lot of fun investing different creations to treat ice cream loves of all persuasions and preferences,” says Allan Grandjean, Head Chocolatier & Ice Cream Master.
“And what better way to enjoy the ultimate summer outing than chilling out over an indulgent scoop or two, amongst our picturesque grounds,” he adds.
Beyond The Scoops

Once you’ve sampled your weight in frozen delights, stick around to explore. Each Chocolaterie is its own little wonderland: peek through giant viewing windows to see chocolatiers in action, stock up on handcrafted goodies or linger over brunch and a dessert platter at the all-day cafes in Yarra Valley and Great Ocean Road.
Down at the Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie, life’s just as sweet—grab a brownie or strawberry bowl, take your cone to-go and wander toward the beach at Flinders (Just watch out for the sweet dripping over your arm)
