After dazzling foodies and art lovers in Dubai, Germany, Switzerland and Canada, the immersive 7 Paintings dining experience is here in Melbourne. Feast your way through seven courses, inspired by beloved artists like Banksy, Van Gogh, Michelangelo and Dali. This experience is now open, and takes place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. You’ll find it at Mr Tompkins restaurant inside Rendezvous Hotel.

Take your seat, and follow Mona Lisa as she takes you on a multisensory journey, filled with storytelling, art, lighting, sound, and of course, specially-crafted dishes.
Start with a Michelangelo-inspired tomato praline with basil gel and watercress, nestled in a shell crostino, then try a Banksy-inspired veal carpaccio in a herb-lime crust, with truffle mayonnaise and olive soil. Enjoy nods to Picasso with a snapper fillet infused with cinnamon and lavender, along with lemon-celery salad and garlic-red wine essence. Get a little abstract with Jackson Pollock with a painting of spinach-coconut, beetroot and pumpkin purées.

After that, experience Andy Warhol’s pop art with a grilled beef tenderloin course, along with mashed sweet potatoes, glazed snow peas and balsamic jus. Feel Salvador Dali’s Persistence of Memory in a crema Catalana, served in a hollowed potato with mint, berries and salted caramel ice cream. Finally, enjoy a chocolate painting of coconut meringue with chocolate-chilli, white chocolate-lime and chocolate-raspberry sauces, inspired by Van Gogh’s legendary Starry Nights.

You’re also invited to embrace your own creativity by spraying colourful desserts onto edible paper.
