Soar up to the 80th floor and indulge in afternoon tea at The Ritz-Carlton. After opening its doors to Melbourne earlier this year, the hotel is serving up high tea against the backdrop of Melbourne’s shimmering skyline. This experience is now open for bookings, and available from Thursday to Sunday between 12pm and 3pm.
Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton
The Ritz-Carlton has afternoon tea experiences in New York, Hong Kong, Macau, Kyoto, and now, Melbourne.
“To enjoy life, one must devote time to it,” said Antony Page, General Manager. “To that end, we invite locals, visitors and guests to discover what we believe is Australia’s most iconic afternoon tea. Escape the everyday and join us on Level 80 to enjoy a time-honoured ritual.”
Look forward to a four-course selection of appetisers, scones and an assortment of sweet and savoury treats. Prepared by Executive Chef Michael Greenlaw and The Ritz-Carlton’s master pâtissiers, you can nibble on dreamy sweet treats like crème fraiche beignets and Ispahan macarons.
The afternoon tea also has a local twist, with seasonal and local produce throughout the menu. Think vibrant selections like line-caught coral trout with lemon purée, or handpicked mud crab tartlet with toasted almond and Marigold flower. Feel delighted by the Australian treat, Monte Carlo, which has been reimagined with Davidson’s plum. The high tea will also feature Oscietra caviar and smoked confit chicken feuille de brick sandwiches.
Pair your experience with a choice of seven signature loose-leaf teas by Love Tea, or warm up with a freshly roasted cup of specialty coffee by Code Black. To elevate your experience, try a glass of Henri Giraud Champagne, or sip on a glass of local Victorian sparkling.
While you’re there, don’t forget to look out the window and enjoy the view.
