We love watching movies alongside live music here in Melbourne. Past events have included screenings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Holiday and Love Actually. And soon, you’ll see the Dark Knight come to life with an exciting “Batman” – Live In Concert experience. This live event will feature the 1989 blockbuster film, with an orchestra playing Danny Elfman’s unforgettable score as the movie unfolds. This concert series is part of a global tour, and will make its way through symphony halls around Australia. Find it in Melbourne at the Regent Theatre from Thursday October 24 to Saturday October 26.
“Batman” – Live In Concert
This year, Warner Bros. Discovery is celebrating a massive 85 years of Batman. This particular concert also marks 35 years of the Tim Burton film. Starring Michael Keaton in the role of Batman, and Jack Nicholson as the Joker, this movie was the top-grossing film of the year. It was also composer Danny Elfman’s first collaboration with the director, Tim Burton, and the score was later nominated for a Grammy award.
Watch the film projected onto a larger-than-life screen, while a live orchestra performs the musical score. On top of the concert experience, there will also be cool stage lighting, post-event autographs and merchandise for you to purchase. You’re welcome to get in the spirit of things, and dress up as your favourite DC Super Hero or Super-Villain.
