Kryal Castle is one of the must-dos when you’re visiting Ballarat. This medieval theme park is a great way to transport yourself to a land of adventure and fun, filled with knights, jousting, performances, archery and special events. With 22 castle suites, you can even spend the night! And now, there’s even more options for you to sleep over, with the opening of the new BIG4 Kryal Castle Holiday Park. Opening on Friday April 7, this caravan park will feature heaps of campsites, as well as cabins and luxury tiny homes.
BIG4 Kryal Castle Holiday Park
This holiday park will grow Kryal Castle’s current accommodation offerings, so more guests can stay and enjoy the medieval landscape. Expect 57 powered campsites, 16 one-bedroom cabins, and four luxury loft tiny homes. These tiny homes are two-storeys high, and can sleep up to four people.
The campsites are all near amenities and facilities. Let the kids have fun in the games room, filled with Xbox consoles and beanbags, while you sip on cocktails on the Sunset Deck. The park will soon have a playground for the little ones, as well as a 12 metre container pool.
Dogs are welcome to come along, so you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind.
“We are really excited to open the holiday park and hope that its unique location will help draw in more visitors to experience Kryal Castle, while also increasing the accommodation offering in Ballarat and hopefully encouraging visitors to enjoy all the region has to offer,” said Bart Hamilton, Kryal Castle CEO.
To celebrate the first month of opening, guests will receive a 50 per cent discount off entry into the theme park. Upcoming events in April include a Unicorn Festival from April 7 to 21, and The Smashing Pumpkins: The World Is A Vampire performance on April 3. The park is a 15 minute drive away from Ballarat, and bookings are open now.
