Spring has sprung, and if you’re keen to frolic among the flowers, a pretty cherry blossom festival will soon bloom in the Yarra Valley. Wander over to CherryHill Orchards and explore the stunning rows of blossoming cherry trees. When you’re not gazing at the delicate petals, have a picnic, listen to live music, try cherry ice cream and more. The Blossom Festival will run from Friday, September 18 to Sunday, October 4.

Blossom Festival at CherryHill Orchards 2026
In this annual festival, you’ll see the Wandin East orchard covered with the delicate white blossoms of their cherry trees. This seasonal event feels particularly precious, because the trees are only in full bloom for just a few weeks each year. There’s 13 varieties of cherry trees in the orchard, and they all bloom at varying times. Different parts of the landscape will be decked out in white petals throughout the festival season.
“Blossom Festival is one of our favourite times at CherryHill,” said Mike Appleton, GM Customer Experience, Tourism & Events at CherryHill Orchards. “There is something incredibly special about seeing thousands of cherry trees flowering at once and watching the orchard come back to life after winter.”
Amble down the rows and take as many photos as you please. You can also book yourself in for a professional photoshoot.

After strolling down the rows and taking in the sights, you’re welcome to settle in for an idyllic day out. Bring a picnic, or pre-purchase a picnic pack, which comes with favourites like finger sandwiches, mini-quiches, lamingtons and even fairy bread.
Otherwise, you’ll find plenty of food and drink on the day, with a range of vendors on-site. Their new on-site cafe will open this season, serving up plenty of sweet and savoury treats, such as cherry ice cream, cherry spritzer and coffee. They will also showcase their artisan beverage range, such as Cherry Vodka, Cherry Liqueur and Blossom Gin.
Beyond the blooms, there’s plenty to see and do. The whole family will have fun at the kids hub, with face painting, arts & crafts, scavenger hunts, story time, lawn games and more. There will also be live music every day.
Dogs are welcome to come along too!
