Going for a drink has long meant meeting up at the pub or the bar for a beer, a glass of wine or some other kind of alcoholic beverage. While that may still be the case for many, the non-alcoholic drinks market is booming and Brunswick Aces—Australia’s experts in all drinks sans booze—has made a mark not just on teetotalling and sober-curious Melburnians, but their alcohol-happy friends too.
Housed in a Brunswick East warehouse, the bar and distillery boast 100-plus drink options. From alcohol-free beers and wines that are in no-way boring in flavour to masterfully curated cocktails featuring their own tipples, options abound when you open yourself up to having a drink that’s not going to lower your inhibitions.
Whatever your reason for drinking less or not drinking alcohol at all, Brunswick Aces is where it’s at. And if you’re keen on finding out more, creating your own tasty yet spirit-free cocktails for all of your friends to enjoy, then Australia’s first non-alcoholic bar is your go-to.

Cocktail Masterclass
We love a good cocktail. And so does Brunswick Aces, who have done away with too-sweet mocktails of yesteryear and created a selection of booze-free alternatives that pack a flavourful punch. The team behind the bar have a combined 55 years in the drinks and hospitality industry, so it’s safe to say that they know what they’re doing when mixing up a drink—with or without alcohol.
Their regulars agree, and favourites include The zesty Brunswick made with lemon-husk marmalade, lemon oleo and lemon-verbena-tea syrup and the London dry-style Spades sapiir, as well as The King Louis that’s more tropical with a splash of cucumber-mint cordial. Classic cocktails feature, too, with no-booze Negronis, Espresso Martinis and Tom Collins popular requests.
You will learn to make three satisfying concoctions at Brunswick Aces’ Cocktail Masterclass, where one of their master bartenders will guide you through some of their most popular. Aside from being entertaining, the sessions prove educational and equip attendees with the know-how to mix drinks for not only any occasion but for any and everybody. Nobody needs to miss out anymore.
Expand your drinking knowledge at Brunswick Aces’ Cocktail Masterclass, which begins with a welcome drink on arrival and complimentary nibbles throughout the informative experience.

Distillery Tour & Cocktail Masterclass
Any and every good cocktail begins with a good base, which is why Brunswick Aces distill their very own sapiir onsite. It was the very first thing they perfected and it has proven to be a hit among those keen on cutting down their gin consumption.
Just like a regular gin, this alcohol-free alternative uses palatable and aromatic botanicals including lemon myrtle, Tasmanian pepperberry, native wattleseed, and of course, juniper.
The various sapiir blends that have so far been concocted not only provide a strong base for cocktails, but they also complement an array of mixers. You’ll get to sample all their sapiirs while on the distillery tour as well as find out about how they came to be made before getting hands-on in a cocktail masterclass.
You’ll get to know all about Brunswick Aces, their blends and all the varying types of non-alcoholic beverages they stock, which includes national and international wine, beer and spirits.

Brunswick Aces
Before the founders of Brunswick Aces began distilling alcohol-free gin, they were actually making their own beer, wine and spirits at home. The group of friends would get together, drink and have a good time, but then a few of them stopped drinking. For inclusivity’s sake, the friends then began distilling gin without the alcohol and the good times continued without a hitch.
The ethos at Brunswick Aces is to make everyone feel welcome, including drinkers who have just the one gin and tonic to choose from on the menu. Still, it’s no lemon, lime and bitters.Â
