There are two types of people that go to Bunnings. The first go to buy the things they need, and the second go for a cheeky Bunnings sausage sizzle. For those of us in the second group, there’s good news!
Bunnings sausage sizzles will be back on Saturday October 30, the day after restrictions lift and retail opens at 6pm.
“We know that it’s a tradition that our teams, customers and community groups have really missed, and we hope to have them back up and running at all stores over the next few weeks,” said Mike Schneider, Bunnings managing director.
“COVID lockdowns have had a real impact on the fundraising activities of so many community groups and we encourage everyone to pick up a snag and show your support if there is a sausage sizzle running at your local store this weekend,” he added.
So, whether you like your onions on the top or underneath, head to Bunnings and support your local community with a sausage sizzle this weekend.
Health and safety measures will be in place so you can have a safe snag. This includes increased cleaning and separate order and pick-up points. Volunteers are also required to wear a face mask during the sausage sizzle.
Meanwhile, Bunnings will open to customers from 6pm to 10pm on Friday October 29.
With the return of the iconic sausage sizzle, things are feeling a little more normal here in Melbourne.
