If you’re a cheese lover, there’s a number of scrumptious cheese festivals for you to try in Melbourne, from the annual Wine & Cheese Fest earlier this year, to the terrific Mould x Pinot Palooza just last month. And soon, there will be a brilliant new event for you to check out. Head to the rooftop carpark of South Melbourne Market and feel delighted by Australia’s first Burrata Festival. Run by the team from That’s Amore Cheese, you can look forward to plenty of burrata bites, as well as live music, cooking demonstrations and more. This cheesy event will run from 5pm to 9pm on Thursday October 30.

Burrata Festival
Experience burrata like never before over one tasty evening. Try it grilled, fried and truffled, and see if you enjoy it as a dessert. Food vendors you can look forward to include:
- Lasagna Lab
- UGO Burrata Bar
- Cannoleria
- Farmer’s Daughters
- Pistachio Papi
- Zita’s
- La Manna
- Naturalis Gelato Italiano

- and more!
“This festival is our way of sharing that love [for burrata] with everyone, one delicious bite at a time,” said Giorgio Lingunati, founder of That’s Amore Cheese.
When you’re not eating, quench your thirst at the Lambretta Bar with spritzes and wine from Vino Bambino and craft beer from Stomping Ground.
You can also look forward to live Italian music, a DJ and roving entertainment. If you’d like to learn even more, you can watch live cooking demonstrations from four guests, including Alejandro Saravia from Farmer’s Daughters, and Luca & Marco from Super Norma. Wine Selector will also be doing wine masterclasses and cheese pairings.
