Cirque du Soleil will be swinging under the Big Top a little longer this year—and Australian audiences couldn’t be more thrilled. The Montreal-based company has announced a three-week extension to its 2026 national tour of KOOZA following overwhelming demand, adding extra performances in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
As a result, the high-fuelled production—a breathtaking blend of acrobatics, clowning and artistry—will now stay under the Big Top through winter and spring, inviting more audiences to experience its fantastical world of colour and heart-stopping stunts.
The Famed Cirque du Soleil

First premiering in Montreal in 2007, KOOZA is Cirque du Soleil’s 20th original touring show and one of its most daring. Described as a “circus in a box,” it dives headfirst into themes of fear, identity, and power with an intoxicating mix of laughter and edge-of-your-seat spectacle.
Moreover, you’ll experience teetering towers of balance acts, dizzying aerial feats and jester routines that remind audiences of the magic that only live performance can deliver.
“Cirque du Soleil’s Senior Vice President of Touring Shows, Daniel Fortin, said Australian fans have responded ‘beyond expectation.’ ‘People have rushed to secure tickets, and each show has generated electric energy,’ Fortin said.”
“Australia has always embraced Cirque du Soleil with open arms, and we can’t wait for more audiences to experience KOOZA’s magic.”
Behind The Curtain

KOOZA continues Cirque du Soleil’s dazzling local legacy after the record-breaking run of LUZIA in 2024 and the triumphant national tour of CORTEO earlier this year.
Behind the scenes, the production travels with more than 120 touring staff, 56 artists from 19 countries and a full kitchen serving 400 meals daily. In addition, the iconic Big Top—which seats 2,500 people and takes a week to erect—hosts six live musicians who deliver a soundtrack blending 1970s funk, orchestral flourishes and traditional Indian rhythms.
Since debuting nearly two decades ago, KOOZA has charmed over 10 million people in 87 cities across 23 countries, and Australia’s enthusiasm shows no sign of slowing.
