CluedUpp is back with another murder mystery to solve.
Cluedo is all fun and games but when you can actually be scouring the city and solving clues to chase down (virtual) witnesses to eliminate suspects and murder weapons, the boardgame just doesn’t quite stack up. (Featured image: @thegreenfield)
This is where CluedUpp—the interactive detective-styled game-cum-outdoor escape room—comes into play. This time around, a copycat Jack The Ripper is on the loose and has struck fear into the community. It’s up to you and your team of highly skilled detectives to take to the streets and solve the case before he gets away. Can you do it?
CluedUpp’s next Melbourne event takes place on 31 July but with only 100 crews are able to participate, tickets are quickly selling out. (You can also play in Geelong on 20 February).
Forget your favourite Cluedo character as well, unless you care to dress up as Colonel Mustard and run around the city, because all you need to play and solve CluedUpp’s The Ripper is a smartphone and their app.
You can dress up in your best sleuthing outfits and you might want to because there are prizes for the best-dressed team. There are also prizes for fastest team, best team picture, best team name and in the event that you take along your dog, there’s a canine prize too.
Where the game will begin and where it will take you, we’re not too sure. All we know is that you can begin the game whenever between 9am and 2pm on the day. But to find out where to start, you’ll have to sign up to play and wait for further instructions.
A ticket to play will set you back $65 and is valid for up to six players (a minimum of two players is required).
