A wonderful new market is rolling into Collingwood. Get ready for Collingwood Artisan Market, which will light up Hoddle Street with a full-size roller rink, plenty of cool stalls, gourmet food and live music. Run by the Bourne Local artisan market team, and in partnership with UEM Sunrise, this market will take over the former Honda showroom site on the last Sunday of every month, from July to December.
Set inside an industrial space in the heart of Collingwood, this market event will be perfect for all weathers. Skate your way around the roller rink every month. Hosted by Le Roller Disco, renowned Collingwood locals who are behind the underground roller disco scene, you’ll move and groove to the sounds of local nu-jazz band, the JK trio. DJ Shio from PBS will also serve up a range of eclectic beats.
The market itself will feature handpicked, homegrown stallholders, with a mix of eclectic and eco-conscious fashion, accessories, home décor and beauty. Think handcrafted leather products, handmade goods from independent artisans and more.
Of course, there will be plenty of food and drink to keep you happy, including Hamsa Hummus Bar for a plant-based feast, Crêpes-Oohlicious for a French treat, Rollies Doughnuts and Cheeky Rascal Cider.
The Collingwood Artisan Market will run every month, and will be the first in a themed series. The first event will be all about celebrating winter, so expect plenty of mulled wine to go around.
