Diamond Valley Railway is getting ready to shine its way through the night with a Winter Light Spectacular. Hop aboard the mini train, journey through the bushland of Eltham Lower Park and feel delighted by the sparkling light show. If the weather is right, this enchanting evening event will take place on Sunday, July 5, from 6pm to 9pm.

Winter Light Spectacular by Diamond Valley Railway
This miniature railway is run by volunteers, and is open to the public every Sunday. Located near the butterfly playground in Eltham Lower Park, this attraction has a 65-metre-long main station with three platforms, as well as a main track that runs for 2 kilometres through the bushland. As you go, you’ll also see bridges, tunnels, signal boxes and more.
If you feel like something a little different, rug up and visit them for their Winter Light Spectacular. Running since 2021, this evening event offers a different way to experience the track. Hop aboard one of the twinkling trains, and trundle your way through the night. Watch as the steam of the engines rises up through the crisp air and clings to the roofs of the two tunnels. Trees around the park will be illuminated by bright colours, and passing signals will usher you along. The ride itself takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
Tickets are just $5 per person per ride, and children under two can ride for free. You will need to purchase your tickets in person at the Ticket Office, which typically opens ten minutes before the start of the ride. Pre-booking is not available, and this is quite a popular event, so expect a line.
