Burger fans of Melbourne, it’s time to celebrate! After opening two stores in Sydney, the American burger chain, Five Guys, is finally coming to Melbourne. Treat yourself to their iconic, customisable burgers, tasty chips and satisfying milkshakes. The 79-seat diner will open in Southbank on Monday August 8.
Five Guys
Established in 1986, Five Guys uses freshly ground beef in their burgers, and don’t use any freezers. Every burger is made-to-order, and customisable with 15 toppings. You can add as many toppings as you want for free, leading to a whopping 250, 000 burger variations on the menu.
If you don’t feel like a burger, you can also try their delicious hot dogs or sandwiches. Once again, you can mix things up and add toppings of your choice. Pair your meal with some hand-cut, twice-cooked chips, cooked in peanut oil. Then, wash it down a milkshake, and mix-in tasty toppings like crushed Oreo, banana, and even bacon.
In Australia, the Five Guys franchise is run by Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group, the same team behind The Meat and Wine Co and Hunter and Barrell. More Five Guys stores are expected to open across Australia, with more Melbourne locations on the way too.
In the meantime, you can try Five Guys for yourself by visiting their store in Southbank. Find them open from 11am to 10om every day, starting from Monday August 8, at 3 Freshwater Place in Southbank.
