The Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience must close its gates on July 14, 2024 – making it a perfect activity to enjoy during the school holidays! The immersive night walk first launched in the United Kingdom before making its way to the United States and Singapore, and now Melbourne locals have a final few chances to experience the magic. With almost 130,000 visitors welcomed already, and plenty of five-star ratings, it’s safe to say the experience lives up to its magical reputation!
What To Expect
Get ready to enter the Forbidden Forest, which for Hogwarts students has always been out-of-bounds. While you follow the light trail you will witness iconic forest scenes unfold before your eyes, accompanied by enchanting sounds and lights dancing through the trees overhead. The experience has been crafted by acclaimed theatrical designers and experiential artists, guaranteeing a top-tier, otherworldly adventure. On your journey you’ll be able to greet Hagrid’s brother, the kind-hearted giant Grawp, catch sight of playful nifflers, and even summon your own patronus.
The evening walking trail through the forest will take approximately 45–75 minutes, depending on your pace, and you will encounter beloved characters and magical creatures along your path. As the walk is on a bushland trail, make sure to wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing. The forest walk will end at The Village market, which is reminiscent of the cozy Hogsmeade village. Enjoy warm beverages, themed treats like the iconic Butterbeer, and classic British snacks as you recount the evening’s adventure.
