If you’re obsessed with dogs, you’ll want to pop this in your diary. Guide Dogs Victoria is opening up their Kew campus for a paw-fect day out. Take part in puppy yoga, see live Guide Dog training sessions, and learn about other wonderful working dogs like Therapy Dogs, Wellbeing Dogs and Court Dogs. Beyond the puppies, you can also expect fun activities, live entertainment and food stalls. The Guide Dogs Victoria Community Fair will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 10am to 2pm.
Guide Dogs Victoria Community Fair
Wander around the grounds and say hello to all the adorable puppies in training. Watch as the very good boys and girls showcase their skills in a live training demonstration. Take part in puppy yoga and try your best to follow along while fluffy puppies in training scamper around.

While you’re there, gain a deeper insight into the lives of those with blind or low vision. Take part in accessible experiences (such as blind tennis or a golf simulator), learn the basics of braille, navigate with a cane or try an accessible cooking demonstration. See an exhibition that showcases the work of artists with blind or low vision, and listen to storytelling sessions with Guide Dog clients and authors.
Taking place during the school holidays, the whole family will also have plenty of fun at this Community Fair. Check out the dedicated kids’ zone, enjoy live entertainment and grab a bite from one of the food stalls.
You will need to purchase a ticket to attend this event. Each ticket will help Guide Dogs Victoria continue to provide services to those in need. It takes over two years and costs over $50,000 to breed, raise and train each Guide Dog. This is provided at no cost to those in need. General admission tickets are $25.
