In news that’s made our hearts go Padam Padam, Kylie Minogue has announced just announced a world tour that’s set to take a career-spanning setlist around the globe through 2025. Never one to forget her roots, she’s kicking things off right here in Australia – and best of all, the newly-announced Tension Tour will feature two dates in Melbourne in February 2025. Here’s all you need to know, including how to get your hands on tickets.
When does Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour visit Melbourne?
It’s a good (or expensive, depending on your viewpoint) time to be a pop fan in Melbourne, what with the battle for Dua Lipa tickets just about to begin. Kylie’s Tension Tour kicks off in Perth on February 15, 2025, before hitting up Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, and then heading off to far-flung places like Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, and the UK for further dates.
Melbourne’s shows will take place at Rod Laver Arena on February 20 & 21, 2025, and you’ll want to get your glitter ready. If we’ve learned anything from her storied career, and her recent Vegas residency, Kylie’s shows are going to be something spectacular indeed.
When do Tension Tour tickets go on sale?
September 27 is the date for your diaries, as tickets will be going on general sale then – expect an almighty scramble, given the Tension Tour is set to be her biggest tour since 2011. To get a leg up on the competition, fans in Australia and the UK can sign up for pre-sale access to tickets via her official website.
Is there a new Kylie Minogue album too?
Yes, in fact! Just before dropping the news of her world tour, Kylie also revealed via Instagram that she’s releasing a new album before the tour begins. Set to hit shops & streaming services around the world on October 18, the new album is called Tension II, and will be a follow-up to her 2023 album Tension. Featuring nine new tracks, you can expect to hear the first of them very soon, as the lead single will be released on September 27.
