Iconic comedy duo Colin Lane and Frank Woodley are back on stage for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, with their take on Moby Dick. Together, they’ll take up an easy hour of your time, speeding through the entire story through song in the first few minutes, and saving the rest of the hour for funny gags, witty moments and silly props. Lano and Woodley are now playing Moby Dick at the Comedy Theatre.
Lano and Woodley
From the moment you take your seat, you know you’re in for a good time, as the sounds of joyful sea shanties soar out through the speakers. And once Lano and Woodley step out on stage, they own every moment.
There’s timely Will Smith jokes, witty audience interactions, and praiseworthy performances with tin whistles and loop stations. Woodley’s innocent yet intrusive persona continues to play well against Lano’s more prickly nature, creating plenty of moments for silly misunderstandings and gags.
