Madagascar The Musical is now playing at the Comedy Theatre, and will stick around until Sunday January 15.
Madagascar The Musical
Adapted from the animated DreamWorks film, the musical revolves around a group of zoo animals who find themselves in the jungles of Madagascar and must adjust to living in the wild. This hilarious adaptation has already performed to sold-out audiences across the UK and New Zealand. And after entertaining Sydney audiences, it’s now playing in Melbourne.
Just like the movie, you’ll follow along the adventures of your crack-a-lackin’ friends, Alex the lion , Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo.
This musical is perfect for the little ones, as there’s plenty of jokes that’ll have your child squealing with delight. The iconic song, ‘I Like To Move It‘, is a hit that will have the theatre clapping and dancing along. But, there’s plenty of new and interesting songs that are also enjoyable.
All of the actors do a superb job, bringing plenty of energy and cheer to the stage. Watching the puppeteers bring characters like the penguins to life is also a delight. Watching Melman move his giraffe head around was particularly funny to see.
The show goes for 1 hour and 40 minutes, including a 20 minute interval.
