The Makers and Shakers Market is coming back to Melbourne over Father’s Day weekend. Wander through the stalls and discover a curated selection of homewares, sustainable fashion, food and more! On top of the stalls, you’ll also find creative workshops and activities for the kids. Check it out at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton on Saturday September 6 and Sunday September 7.

The Makers and Shakers Market
At this bustling market, you’ll find unique items featuring 100 per cent Australian-made goods. Find something to treat yourself, or to gift to a loved one, such as small-batch treats, stationary and skincare.
For the first time, you can have a custom-made portrait from Melbourne-based artist Frances Cannon, or get creative in a collage workshop from That Paper Joint. Explore a dedicated Dad’s Zone, and make him proud with a double denim themed family photo from Awkward Portraits.

Meanwhile, the Kids Zone will be bigger than ever, with a crafting station for them to make cards, and a mini market where they can pretend to be a stallholder.
Feeling hungry? Try Mrs Browne Bakes’ Raspberry Goldfields Cookie Pie, the Best Pie in Ballarat for 2025. For something savoury, sink your teeth into Italian sandwiches from Rocco’s Bologna Discoteca, or try other delights from Wonderbao, Greek Street Food, Hamsa Hummus Bar and OG Taco Truck.
Listen to vinyl DJ sets and get creative with some beginner-friendly workshops, such as jewellery making, painting, drawing and felting.
The market will run from 10am to 4pm on both days. Entry is $5 and kids aged 12 and under can enter for free.
