Here we go again: Mamma Mia! The Musical is coming to Melbourne for a round of feel-good song and dance on stage. The musical will feature some of ABBA’s greatest chart-topping hits, sparkly costumes, vibrant set design and classic ’70s nostalgia that’ll get you out of your seat and dancing in the aisles. Set on a Greek island, this heart-warming tale centres around a young bride-to-be and her quest to discover the identity of her father. She secretly invites three men from her mother’s past with the hope that one of them is her father.
This new production is a restaging of the successful and critically-acclaimed show, which originally came to Melbourne in 2018. Avid musical goers will want to keep Mamma Mia! in mind for its uplifting and timeless storytelling that has wowed over 65 million people around the world.
The high-energy jukebox musical will feature 22 of ABBA’s greatest hits, including Dancing Queen, Voulez Vous, S.O.S and Take a Chance On Me.
This production stars Sarah Krndija in the role of Sophie, the bride-to-be and Elise McCann as her mother Donna. Donna’s friends Rosie and Tanya are played by Bianca Bruce and Deone Zanotto. Sophie’s three potential fathers are played by Martin Crewes, Drew Livingston and Tim Wright. The show is produced by Michael Coppel, Louise Withers and Linda Bewick,
