Retail therapy is now even better with the launch of MECCA Bourke Street, a 4,000 square metre space that features over 200 beauty brands and over 80 services. Set inside a heritage-listed 1930s building, inside the former Cole’s Book Arcade, this massive beauty store stretches across three levels. Known as one of the largest beauty destinations in the world, you’ll discover a fragrance gallery, a skin clinic for treatments, a cafe and more! Find this new flagship store at 299 Bourke Street. For its opening weekend, you can expect giveaways, complimentary services and more.

MECCA Bourke Street
This multi-level store is over 60 times the size of the original MECCA on Toorak Road. You could spend all day roaming the space and trying out the different services.
“MECCA Bourke Street is the physical embodiment of our purpose – to embolden through beauty by helping people look, feel, and be their best,” said MECCA founder and co-CEO Jo Horgan. “It reimagines what experiential retail can be, fusing creativity, culture, and collaboration to create something so much more than a store.”
The store also features local collaborators in honour of its Melbourne roots, such as Flowers Vasette, Trophy Wife by Chelsea Bagan, Şener Besim and Melbourne Apothecary. You’ll also find international services from UK hair colourist Josh Wood, and Maria Tash for your piercing and jewellery needs.

Spaces to explore include:
- MECCA PERFUMERIA – feel guided by scent sommeliers through this immersive and interactive fragrance gallery. You’re welcome to build a personalised scent profile, and there will be space for both group workshops and intimate consultations.
- MECCA AESTHETICA – take part in advanced clinical skin treatments, such as microdermabrasion, with dermal therapists and try advanced cosmetic consultations from registered nurses. There’s seven private treatment rooms and a luxury lounge.
- MECCA BEAUTY ATELIER – feel utterly pampered and get your hair, makeup and nails done in under 90 minutes. There’s eight flexible stations that can be used for individual, group or event bookings, set in a backstage-inspired space. The Beauty Atelier will feature the first international salon by celebrity colourist James Wood, and nail art from Melbourne-born Trophy Wife
