Melbourne Fashion Week is coming back for its 30th year, and is set to transform the city with plenty of exciting experiences. The theme this year is You’re Invited, and it celebrates everything about Melbourne’s unique fashion scene. Look forward to over 100 events and sessions, showcasing the work of over 300 participating designers and 300 retailers. The festival will take over the city, in locations like Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne Museum, Melbourne Town Hall, The LUME and more. On top of the runways, you can look forward to exhibitions, talks, high tea and more. Melbourne Fashion Week will run from Monday October 21 to Sunday October 27.
Melbourne Fashion Week
Internationally renowned and Melbourne-born musician G Flip will be the ambassador for 2024. They will end the festivities with a breathtaking performance as part of the Closing Showcase in Melbourne Town Hall.
The program highlights a mix of emerging, independent and established designers and brands, with a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, diversity and home-grown talent. Featured designers include Aje, Bec + Bridge, Clothing the Gaps, MAARA Collective, Ngali and more.

- Opening Night: ganbu marra Runway at Melbourne Museum
- Student Collections Runway at The LUME
- Volvo Electric Runway at Queen Victoria Market
- Little Bourke Street Runway presented by Emporium Melbourne
- Fashion x Underground presented by Collarts at Melbourne Town Hall
- Refined Edit Runway at Melbourne Town Hall
- Closing Showcase: Celebrating 30 Years at Melbourne Town Hall
There will also be three pop-up runways, which will surprise unsuspecting Melburnians around the city.
Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Fashion Capsules program, and see five exhibits scattered around the city. These capsules will showcase the work of over 70 creatives.
Drop by Spring Place from October 23 to 26 and check out the new RE:Fashion hub. This hub will feature talks, workshops and a pre-loved clothing swap and market.
Throughout the week, there’s also other cool events to check out. Hear from industry experts in one of the talks, see a showcase of works from fashion illustrator Megan Hess, take part in a Breakfast at Tiffany’s High Tea and more.
