Expect the best in Australian fashion at nine unique locations around Melbourne.
You know all those clothes you bought during lockdown and never got to show off? Now is the time to cut off the tags and take them out of the closet because Melbourne Fashion Week is coming. Take part in events all over the city, in dazzling locations like Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, Royal Botanic Gardens and Seafarers Bridge. Melbourne Fashion Week will run from November 15 to November 21.
Melbourne Fashion Week
The full program for Melbourne Fashion Week has been released. Presented by Vogue and the City of Melbourne, there will be over 250 designers and 300 retailers participating across more than 100 different events and sessions.
This year’s program focuses on sustainability, inclusivity, celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and the diversity of Australia’s fashion industry.
Both celebrated and emerging designers will be showcased across ten runways at nine unique locations. Picture models strutting their stuff at Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, surrounded by a breath-taking underwater landscape. Or, imagine them taking MCG’s underground carpark in a celebration of street fashion.
Other runway locations include:
- Gardens House at Royal Botanic Gardens
- Plaza Ballroom at Regent Theatre
- Fed Square
- The Ian Potter Centre
- Rialto Towers
- Seafarers Bridge on the Yarra in South Wharf
- The Grand Cathedral Room at Queen & Collins
“We can’t wait to bring back the buzz through the colour, vibrancy and style of this iconic annual event. And Melburnians can access more than half of the program for free this year,” said Lord Mayor Sally Capp.
In addition to the runway events, there will also be exhibitions, talks, workshops and more.
Special “drink and dine” offers will be available to ticket holders at city venues, including Longrain, Chancery Lane and Calia Emporium. There will also be opportunities to buy runway looks both in stores and online.
Tickets go on sale at 11am on Wednesday October 20. All attendees at Melbourne Fashion Week must be fully vaccinated.
