Melbourne Fashion Week is coming back, and is set to transform the city with plenty of exciting experiences. This year, there’s around 100 events to look forward to, showcasing the work of over 600 celebrated and emerging designers and retailers. On top of the runways, you can look forward to exhibitions, masterclasses, high tea and more. Melbourne Fashion Week will run from Monday October 23 to Sunday October 29.
Melbourne Fashion Week
Back for its 29th year, Melbourne Fashion Week is expected to attract over 110, 000 attendees across the full program. Actor and singer Ayesha Madon will be the Ambassador for 2023, and ARIA Award winning indie pop band, CUB Sport, will hit both the stage and the runway.
Nine premium runways will take place across seven stunning venues — all of them are making their fashion debut. They are:
- Le Splash pool deck on level five of Le Méridien Melbourne
- Regent Theatre, in partnership with Moulin Rouge! The Musical
- The Lume, alongside the mesmerising projections of Connection
- An abandoned industrial garage in Southbank
- The dining gardens of The Commons Collective
- The transformed ground floor of 101 Collins Street
- Level 44 at 120 Collins for a high-rise runway
The premium runway series will feature fashion favourites, including Aje, Bec + Bridge, Jason Grech and Leo Lin.
There will also be pop-up runways to check out, five Fashion Capsule Exhibitions and two new Melbourne Fashion Week Hubs in Emporium Melbourne and QV Melbourne.
With 35 independent events, there’s something for every one to enjoy. Attend a high tea by Aboriginal designer Ngali, see an exhibit on military influences on popular fashion at the Shrine of Remembrance and see an upcycled runway with VAULT vintage clothing boutique.

Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out will make a return, offering in-store experiences, discounts, entertainment and giveaways from October 26 to 29.
