The electrifying, after-hours event, Nocturnal, is back at Melbourne Museum. In this late-night series, you’ll have access to the permanent and temporary exhibitions in the museum, including Titanic: The Artefact Exhibition. On top of that, you can look forward to a stack of music, food, drink and entertainment, including drag bingo. Nocturnal will take over Melbourne Museum on the second Thursday of selected months, with the next events taking place on February 8, March 14 and April 11.
Nocturnal at Melbourne Museum
Gather your mates for a night of music, food, drinks and entertainment. Inside the museum foyer, you’ll be welcomed with tunes from some of Melbourne’s favourite DJs. Look forward to genres like disco, soul, house and funk, with DJ JARV!S next up in the Nocturnal programme. As you dance the night away, keep your energy up with delicious bites and specialty cocktails. Explore the different exhibitions, and listen to the experts in various talks and tours.
Nocturnal: Hot & Bothered
When: Thursday February 8, 6-9pm
A spirited celebration of queer culture and activism, this edition of Nocturnal is combined with the Titanic exhibition. Play drag bingo for your chance to win prizes, meet queer scientists, talk part in crafts, and pair your evening with a screening of James Cameron’s Titanic in IMAX.

Venture beyond the world you know, and explore other realms and realities. Topics span from the depths of the sea to the spectrum of human experience. Play drag bingo and dance to tunes from DJ Friday, the host of Headhunters on PBS.

Nocturnal: Bells & Whistles
When: Thursday April 11, 6-9pm
This will be the last chance for you to hear the tragic stories of those aboard the Titanic. DJ Mon Franco will be spinning exciting cross-genre sets for you to vibe to. Dress your best for the chance to win prizes. The museum will explore all things bells and whistles, from train mechanisms to bird calls.
