It’s hard to believe, but Pink Floyd released their unforgettable album ‘The Dark Side of the Moon‘ 50 years ago. Now, you can experience this stellar soundtrack in a completely immersive environment at Melbourne Planetarium. Listen to the 42-minute album, and go on a journey through the solar system and beyond. This anniversary show is all a part of Planetarium Nights, and will run for adults only on Friday nights this July.
‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ at Melbourne Planetarium
Head to the Planetarium and transcend your reality in this all-encompassing musical and visual experience. Video production team, NSC Creative, worked closely with Pink Floyd’s creative collaborator, Aubrey Powell, to bring this show to life.
Each song has a different theme. Some will propel you to the future, others will take you back through Pink Floyd’s visual history. All of the visuals will relate to a time and space experience.
With the Planetarium’s 16m domed ceiling and 7.1 surround sound system, you’ll feel completely captivated.
The show plays at 9pm, and is for adults only. Tickets cost $25 for non-members. While you’re there, be sure to grab a drink from the bar.
