Say cheese! Australia’s most celebrated cheese festival is coming back for its seventh iteration over the winter months. This year, Mould: A Cheese Festival, is promising a delightfully mature and smelly line-up, with over 25 local producers showcasing over 100 varieties of Australian-made dairy products. Explore textured and earthy flavours, raw milk varieties and more types of delicious homegrown cheese. Mould will take over The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne from June 2 to 4.
Mould: A Cheese Festival
This cheese festival has delighted Australians since 2017. Presented by Revel, the team behind Pinot Palooza and Picolo, this festival is hitting the three big cities on the east coast, and heading west to Perth for the first time. Last year, almost 10, 000 punters consumed a record-breaking six tonnes of local artisan cheese.
Try innovative and award-winning products from Milawa, and other producers like Grandvewe, Section 28, Coal River, La Cantara, Long Paddock Cheese and Vannella. Pair your cheese with olives, artisan honey, small-batch preserves and more.
Then, grab a drink from Archie Rose, Hartshorn Distillery and Bricklane Beer, or head to the Pinot Palooza Wine Bar for a matched pairing. If you’d prefer something with no alcohol or low alcohol, head to the brand-new Picolo Bar instead.
Tickets are $49 plus booking fee, and include access to all tastings, as well as culinary cheese talks, and a complimentary Dairy Australia cooler bag to keep your cheese at the perfect temperature.
