It’s been 20 years coming, but it looks like Britpop legends Oasis are finally getting ready to return to Australia. Following months of rumours and speculation — culminating in the now-reunited Gallagher brothers last month announcing their first tour in almost 15 years — a report in NME overnight revealed the cities the band will be playing beyond the UK, and it’s great news for Australian fans.
While exact details are still to come, NME spoke with “sources close to the tour” who revealed that Liam and Noel Gallagher will be heading to Melbourne and Sydney as part of their Live ’25 tour. Other cities on the leaked list include Tokyo, Seoul, as well as major hubs in North and South America. It’s expected that the full list of cities will be revealed in the next week or so, with details about dates, venues, and ticket sales to follow soon after. Speculation also remains rife around who will be in the reunited Oasis lineup, but it’s looking likely that it’ll be a mix of old and new faces.
Oasis’ upcoming Australia dates will be the first time the band has played on our soil since 2005. Be sure to stay tuned to Secret Melbourne for updates about dates, venues, and ticketing as they come to hand.
