When it comes to gin by the Yarra River, there’s no other bar in Melbourne but Pilgrim Bar. And with summer fast approaching, they’re welcoming every Melburnian back with Gin High Tea every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That’s a win for you, for us and every other gin-lover in the city.
With a prime position on the riverfront just below Fed Square, a weekend Gin High Tea session in the sun sounds like the medicine we need—having a drink, people watching, seeing boats cruise by. It’s not a bad life.
Included in the $75 price tag are three tea-infused cocktails, a selection of sweet and savoury bites to keep you fuelled for the duration of your sitting and unlimited sparkling plus tea.
Savoury bites include tasty treats like a mini-chicken croissant served with pear, basil and mustard mayo, pork and fennel sausage roll, a wild mushroom toastie and prawn toast while the sweet selection serves up Frangipane tart, Choux craquelin and Tonic scones served with strawberry and hibiscus preserve.
Pilgrim Bar can also cater to dietary requirements as well as serve non-alcoholic gins so those staying sober can also partake in the delicious concoctions.
Pilgrim Bar’s Gin High Tea takes place from Friday to Sunday. Two-hour sessions are available at 12pm, 3pm, and 5:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays while you can kick back by the river for two hours on Sundays at 12pm, 3pm, and 5pm. Reserving your spot is going to be essential, especially as the weather keeps on warming up. You can do that below.
