MasterChef’s Poh Ling Yeow has created her first in-restaurant experience. Head to QT Melbourne and indulge in a luxurious and theatrical sushi train experience, filled with colourful sweet and savoury bites. As you nibble your way through the conveyor belt, sip on Plus Two cocktails from The Singleton whisky. This slow-moving culinary train, also known as The Singleton’s Delicious Discoveries, is available to book from now until the beginning of May.
The Singleton’s Delicious Discoveries by Poh at QT Melbourne
The colourful menu features eight delicious dishes, paired perfectly with the flavours of Singleton whisky. Indulge in savoury bites like fried chicken, kimchi and kewpie mayo bao and fries with anchovy cream sauce. Satiate your sweet tooth with treats like apple miso caramel turnovers with vanilla crème fraîche and strawberries, mascarpone yoghurt, roasted almonds, aged balsamic and basil.
“I wanted to take The Singleton’s unique world of single malts into a new flavour realm, playing on QT’s signature quirk to create a dining experience that is bursting with colour and taste,” said Poh. “For my first restaurant takeover, I ignored the sensible and embraced the playful.”
As the vibrant treats move steadily along the conveyor belt, be sure to try a cocktail or two. New whisky drinkers are invited to discover the world of single malts with their Plus Two cocktails. There’s eight approachable and delicious cocktails to choose from. Each drink is designed to complement one of Poh’s eight creations.
They feature an equal mix of The Singleton, a choice of sparkling and a still mixer. Try refreshing flavours, like Orchard, made from The Singleton 12 Year Old, apple and pear juice and Appletiser. Mixologists at QT Melbourne will also serve a “create your own” Singleton cocktail menu, so you can use your imagination and add your own creative mixers to the whisky.
The Singleton Delicious Discoveries will be the only place in the world where you can sit down in a restaurant and try Poh’s creations. The playful experience is available to try from Thursdays to Sundays, from now until May.
