After a round of COVID cancellations, Winter Night Market finally came back to Melbourne this year. And now, they’ve upped the ante, and transformed into a festive, Christmas in July wonderland. Head to Queen Vic Market this month, and see it filled with snow machines, Christmas trees, carollers and more. This winter event will take place every Wednesday night, from 5pm to 10pm. The Christmas festivities will run for the month of July. After that, the market will switch back to its usual self, and run until August 31.
Christmas in July at Winter Night Market
Recharge in the middle of the week with some of the best street food traders, brewers, and distillers that Melbourne has to offer. Stay nice and toasty with classic winter beverages, like mulled wine and hot gin toddies. Then, feast on dishes from over 35 street food vendors. Expect tasty treats like pierogi, BBQ meats, charcoal-grilled skewers, Portuguese custard tarts, churros and much, much more.
After that, get in the festive spirit, and check out some roving performers around the market. There will be live ice sculpting, roller skating baubles, carollers, festive-themed silent disco, elves and more. Dance under the snow, thanks to some snow machines, and admire twinkling Christmas trees.
Then, wander through the market and discover over 60 creators, serving up a range of jewellery, art, skincare and more in artisan stalls.
Entry to this winter wonderland is completely free! So, dress warm, come hungry, and have a good time.
