The usual winter suspects of mulled wine, hot cider and hot chocolate and fondue will be available as well as all the street food and various cuisines from around the world that we have become accustomed to. Come hungry and go as often as you can because there’ll be plenty to taste and try. From smoked meats to dumplings of every variety to pasta and rice dishes, spicy curries, and heaps of desserts as well, there’s food for everyone.
At the Winter Night Markets, you will also find brewers and distillers and cocktails too, which will add to the merry atmosphere of roving performers and live entertainment, and add to the buzz about the fire pits. This year will also see artisan stalls peppered around the markets selling handmade jewellery, crafts, books, art and skincare products too.
While the full line-up of stalls and vendors has not yet been released, all you need to do is think back to 2019 and remember the massive offering.
The mid-week winter warmer kicks off on 2 June and will run for thirteen weeks through Melbourne’s coldest months until 25 August from 5-10pm each Wednesday night. July will also see Christmas come early with snow trees, Santa, elves, eggnog and carols.
