We love a good market, and while we’re pretty envious of the Lakemba Nights event in Sydney, there’s a Ramadan Night Market for you to check out right here in Melbourne. Hosted by Olive Tree Bakery in Coburg, this fantastic bazaar features a variety of delicious dishes from food trucks and stalls, as well as shops and activities. The Ramadan Night Market takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from now until March 29. Entry is free, and it’s open from 8:30pm to 1am.
Ramadan Night Market
Look forward to plenty of flavoursome delights, including Adana wraps, pizza, Halal fusion tacos and potato twisters. There’s also plenty of sweet treats, such as kunafeh, waffles, semolina halva with ice cream, acai desserts and pistachio chocolate from Dubai. Pop into Olive Tree Bakery for yummy pastries and drinks.
When you’re not eating, browse through the stalls and find clothes, fragrances, books and gifts. Take part in activities while you’re there, such as traditional henna or face painting.
If you’d like even more delicious food, pop by the bakery from 10pm to 2am from Monday to Thursday, and 9pm to 2am from Friday to Sunday. They’re offering Suhoor, the meal eaten early in the morning before fasting, as well as fresh kaak.
Find the market at 948-950 Sydney Road in Coburg North.
