Calling all noble knights, fair maidens and chaos goblins! After months of speculation, an immersive fantasy event like no other is coming to Melbourne for the very first time. Put on your elf ears and lace up your corsets for the Renfair Rave. Brought to you by the minds behind Melbourne Renfair, this spellbinding event will take over the Royal Botanic Gardens with roving entertainers, medieval décor, costumes and DJs. It’s all going down on Friday, November 20.
Renfair Rave
Dance your way into a medieval fantasy realm, filled with dragons, scorcery and the best bards in the kingdom. You’re invited to dress up in costume or come as you are, as long as you have fun.
There will be plenty of dancefloor spellcasters weaving their enchantment on the night, including:
- Adriana – a staple of Melbourne’s community radio scene
- Milo Eastwood – a festival circuit regular and breakfast host on PBS FM
- SWEETIE – another familiar voice on the airwaves, with colourful and playful sets
- Yacht Club DJs – these mash-up party kings will bring plenty of energy, smashing genres together and bringing the nostalgia
“People have been asking us to do this for a long time, so it’s great to finally bring Renfair Rave to Melbourne,” said Melbourne Renfair founder, Konga. “While we’re taking elements of what people love about the Melbourne Renfair Festival, this is an entirely new event. We’re combining the medieval fantasy world with the energy and spectacle of a great rave. If you love music and being part of something a little different, this is for you.”
This rave will take place for one night only as part of Live At The Gardens. This licenced event will be suitable for all ages, and there will be a wide selection of food and drink available for purchase on the night. BYO alcohol or food is prohibited.
Tickets
Melbourne Renfair sold out 14,000 tickets in less than 24 hours, so you’ll want to be prepared for this one.
The presale will kick off at 11am on Friday, September 18, and run for 48 hours or until allocation is exhausted.
After that, general sale will begin at 12pm on Monday, September 21.
