A new limited-edition burger is coming to Royal Stacks in celebration of World Burger Day. But, this particular burger has been created for a very worthy cause. Royal Stacks has teamed up with Alejandro Saravia, Executive Chef of Farmer’s Daughters, to help raise funds for Sacred Heart Mission in order to combat homelessness. Get ready to try the limited-edition Duke of Hearts burger, from Saturday May 28 to Thursday June 30.
Duke of Hearts by Royal Stacks and Alejandro Saravia
This limited-edition burger will combine the signature flavours of Royal Stacks with the unique taste of Peru. Expect a beef patty, with cheese, diced onion, pickles, and a special smoked chilli salsa created by Saravia.
“As a Peruvian chef, I am very passionate about cooking with chillies and herbs combined with flavours of charcoal and wood,” said Saravia about his salsa. “I can’t wait for Melbourne’s burger enthusiasts to experience the explosion of Peruvian flavours complemented by the high-quality Australian grass fed beef, made even better by all proceeds going towards an incredible organisation.”
The Duke of Hearts burger will cost $14.90, and $2 from each burger sold will go towards Sacred Heart Mission.
This non-profit organisation has helped people experiencing homelessness and social exclusion for 40 years. One of the ways in which they assist those in need is through their Dining Hall in St Kilda. Open every day of the year, this Dining Hall provides free meals and provides a welcoming space for people in need to talk about making positive changes in their lives.
“The Dining Hall is a unique environment where every meal brings someone closer to taking action and creating lasting changes in their lives,” said Andy Grant, Fundraising Manager for Sacred Heart Mission. “The wonderful partnership with Royal Stacks and the funds raised from the Duke of Hearts burgers will help support the Dining Hall and will support a person’s journey out of homelessness.”
The Duke of Hearts burger will be available at Collins Street, Emporium, Melbourne Quarter, Chadstone, Brunswick and Moorabbin stores.
