The Sicily film and food experience
Transport back to 1988 to see Cinema Paradiso, a classic Italian drama directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. Be swept away by the score composed by Ennio Morricone and find out why this film won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
In a love letter to cinema, Cinema Paradiso is about a film director who returns home to a Sicilian village. There, he remembers falling in love with the cinema and his first love affair.
After that, head to Café Terroni and enjoy a four-course feast inspired by the movie. During your meal, you will enjoy foods such as swordfish, sardines and gnocchi alla Norma. After that, finish your meal with some cannoli from T. Cavallaro & Sons in Footscray. There will also be some Italian wines courtesy of Winestock. These wines will also be available for sale in take-home packs at cellar-door prices.
This event will take place from 10am to 4pm on Sunday August 22. Tickets for this experience are $120.
