Melbourne’s post-pandemic Asian pop music scene is thriving. Last year saw the return of Epik High and Eric Nam, as well as DPR’s first time in Melbourne. 2023 is shaping up to be a good year too, with Stray Kids playing at Rod Laver Arena this month, and BLACKPINK coming to Melbourne in June. And now, fans can rejoice because there’s a whole new music festival coming to Melbourne, with a stacked line-up of international stars. Get ready for SONICA, a music and arts festival that will take over Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday March 17.
