Free music festival, Fed Live, is coming back to Fed Square. Set in the heart of the city, you’ll enjoy a series of unforgettable performances, with local artists, Australian music legends, and mesmerising Candlelight Concerts.
“We’re thrilled to present a line-up of gigs of some of Australia’s most sought-after artists, completely free and for everyone to enjoy,” said Katrina Sedgwick OAM, CEO and Director of Melbourne Arts Precinct. “The Fed Live festival brings live music back to the streets of Melbourne and invigorates our Square. Bring your friends, family and join music lovers at Fed Square for a perfect summer’s night dancing to your favourite local acts.”
Artists on the line-up include Vera Blue, Masked Wolf and King Stingray. The first gig kicks off on January 21, and the last gig is currently scheduled for March 24. These events are free and perfect for all ages.
Fed Live schedule
Fed Live with King Stingray
When: January 21, 6:30pm to late
Where: Fed Square
Fed Live is starting with a jam-packed schedule, with ARIA award-winning artists King Stingray headlining the evening. This five-piece surf rock band will bring plenty of energy, with songs sung in a mix of Yolŋu language and English.
Supporting them on the night are indie folk artist Babitha, alt-pop band The Moving Stills and seven-piece funk and reggae group Andrew Gurruwiwi Band.
Georga Byrne Trio
When: January 22, February 19 and March 5, from 4pm to 7pm
Where: Transport Public Bar
With two decade of professional experience on stage, screen and in the studio, Georga Byrne is sure to amaze. Her versatile sound covers soul and RnB, putting a twist on music from the 70s through to modern contemporary hits. Joining her performance is Luke Batterbury and Mickey Chan.

Candlelight Concerts – Queer Icons
When: February 9, 8pm to late
Where: Fed Square
After taking over Fed Square last year, Candlelight Concerts are back for another series of free and mesmerising shows. In celebration of the Midsumma Festival, jazz musicians will fill Fed Square with the music of queer icons like Elton John, David Bowie, George Michael, ABBA and more. As they play your favourite tunes, the musicians will be surrounded by the glimmer of thousands of candles.
Candlelight Concerts – Valentine’s Day with Soul
When: February 14, 8pm to late
Where: Fed Square
Enjoy a romantic night under the stars, lit up by the glow of twinkling candles. Feel serenaded by soul singers TINO and Reigan, performing classics from Marvin Gaye, Elvis Presley and more.
Candlelight Concerts – Original Sessions with Jarryd James
When: February 16, 8pm to late
Where: Fed Square
This Australian musician with two triple platinum-selling singles, including his debut release, ‘Do You Remember’, will take over Fed Square with his soulful voice.
Fed Live with Vera Blue
When: February 18, 6:30pm to late
Where: Fed Square
After the release of her third studio album, Mercurial, in 2022, Vera Blue is headlining Fed Square for a sensational night of hypnotic hits. Supporting this electro-pop singer is indie-pop artist Gretta Ray, multi-instrumentalist singer Vetta Borne and rising artist PRICIE.
Cam Tapp
When: March 4, 4pm to 7pm, and March 5, 7pm to 10pm
Where: Transport Public Bar
This Melbourne-based acoustic singer and songwriter is a multi-award winning artist. Enjoy listening to his modern twist on crowd-favourite classics.
Fed Live with Masked Wolf
When: March 24, 6:30pm to late
Where: Fed Square
This final night of Fed Live is all about hip hop beats. After rising to TikTok fame with his song, ‘Astronaut in the Ocean‘, and receiving over a billion streams on Spotify, Sydney artist Masked Wolf is coming to Fed Square.
Supporting him on the night is funk group Big Twisty and Funknasty, rising Melbourne rapper Agung Mango, independent artist POOKIE and Indigenous Australian rapper Kootsie Don.
