Love garlic? So do we! And if you’re keen to celebrate this flavourful ingredient, follow your nose to Korumburra Showgrounds for the South Gippsland Garlic Festival. This massive event promises twice as many growers as last year, bringing in almost two tonnes of fresh Australian garlic and garlic products. On top of the garlicky goods, you can also expect cooking demonstrations, activities for the kids and more. The festival will take place on Saturday February 28, from 9am to 5pm.

South Gippsland Garlic Festival
Formerly known as the Meeniyan Garlic Festival, this popular annual event is all about showcasing the range of garlic varieties grown in Australia. Chat with the growers, learn how to cultivate it at home and how to use it in your kitchen. Growers in attendance include Balmattum Garlic, Pure Garlic, Gerdavale Garlic, Franklin River Garlic and Garlic Kingdom from NSW.
Wander around the showgrounds, and marvel at products and dishes from over 70 stallholders. Feast on garlic-inspired treats, stock up your pantry with garlic products, find other produce like dairy, meat and honey, and quench your thirst with juice and coffee. There will also be stalls showcasing crafts and goods from local artisans.

Pop by the Garlic University for informative presentations, and check out the Festival Kitchen for interactive cooking demonstrations.
Listen to live music on the Festival Stage, and keep the kids happy with face painting, shows from The Mik Maks, and even an appearance from Bluey.
